The pedal pull is a fun event for boys and girls between the ages of 4 and 12 to compete just like the big guys, but with a pedal tractor. The object is to see who can pull the most weight the greatest distance in their age group. Each age group competes against others, i.e. 4-year-old boys compete against 4-year-old boys and 4-year-old girls compete against 4-year-old girls. There is no entrance fee and all who participate receive a ribbon. The 1st and 2nd place winners qualify to compete in the National Championship held in the fall – usually in the Midwest. For additional information visit the National Pedal Puller’s Association website. Registration is held one hour before the competition.
The event takes place on Sunday in the Dennis Ferland Memorial Arena (where the Lumberjack Competition is held). Registration is at Noon, with the event commencing at 1 PM.
